**The registration fee contains the costs for all coffee breaks and lunches, the conference dinner, the use of conference facilities, and the conference shuttle bus. Accommodation and travel should be booked independently.
Virtual Participation
We are pleased to offer participants the opportunity to join the conference remotely. This option is available for those who are unable to attend in person. Details on how to access the virtual sessions will be provided closer to the event.
Important Dates
The following dates are approximate and subject to change.
- April 13, 2025: First announcement.
- May 18, 2026: Second announcement & Registration and Abstract submission opens
- July 31, 2026: Deadline for abstract submission.
- September 3, 2026: Program announced.
- September 21, 2026: Early bird registration deadline.
- October 19, 2026: Late registration and online-only registration payment close.
- November 9-13, 2026: Waves in Astrophysical Fluids

Payment confirmation
You will receive both a written confirmation of your payment as well as a confirmation of your successful registration via email. Please carefully check your inbox to make sure you received both emails.

Invoice
Upon registration and payment, you will automatically receive an invoice. Please ensure you enter all necessary details for the invoice during the registration process.
Cancellation policy
Cancellation requests must be submitted via email waf-2026@ista.ac.at
Fees will be refunded according to the following policy:
- 90% refund until September 10, 2026 (10% to account for administrative costs)
- 50% refund until September 25, 2026
- No refund from September 26, 2026
Organizers shall not be liable for refunds should visas not be obtained.
